Paint Me Green- A Tribute to Coach Steffenhagen

we don’t just make ads. Sometimes we make films. And when we make those films, they are about legends. That’s when the storytelling takes off.

Where we live and work, high school football is a big thing. That’s because of one man, Coach Wayne Steffenhagen. “Steff” coached for 33 years at D.C. Everest, where he won 5 Division 1 State Championships, but more importantly, mentored thousands of young men. Paint Me Green is a tribute to the Steffenhagens, and a gift to both their family and D.C. Everest Football.

This project was shot mainly in 2007 and completed in 2019. It was a long road, but the path travelled was well-worth it. Enjoy the entire film below, and read more about it in the Wausau City Pages.
