5 Things We've Learned in 5 Years

Holy crap. We just turned 5. Neat! Let’s make one of those lists then because it’s kinda like clickbait. It’s clickbait-y. Ish. We’ve learned a ton since we opened way back in 2016, or 4 B.C. (Before COVID) as we say around here. OK, only one of us says it.

  1. We have kick-ass clients. They run great businesses and organizations. With integrity. They let us do our thing. At the time of this writing, our average client partnership is approximately 8.5 years. We’ll take that.

  2. The range of clients we get to work with keeps things interesting. We remember the days of working on the same brief for 6-12 months. This doesn’t happen anymore. It’s zigging. It’s zagging. It’s industry-hopping, and we love it. From a campus foundation helping students reach their potential, to the company that makes complex automated equipment allowing massive production lines to run efficiently, to the logistics company that keeps the country moving forward— it keeps us on our toes. And we dig it.

  3. SEO is a living, breathing thing. If you create new content and keep things fresh, you’ll do well.

  4. Hard selling is icky and that’s why we don’t do it.

  5. Small to medium-sized businesses are the absolute backbone of this planet. We’re lucky to get the chance to help them grow.

There. That’s the last time we’ll do a list like this again. Until we’re 10, probably.
